The Allahabad High Court has directed Dr Servendra Vikram Bahadur Singh, the Director of Education (Basic), Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow, to file a reply within two weeks or appear himself and give explanation on arbitrariness in the posting of selected teachers in assistant teacher recruitment.
A single-judge bench of Justice Siddharth passed this order while hearing a petition filed by Anju Singh.
The order dated 19.1.2022, the Director of Education (Basic), UP, Lucknow, has declined the prayer of the petitioner for being posted at Aligarh on the ground that quality point marks required for posting at Aligarh was 71.47 for OBC women category and since the petitioner had obtained only 70.08 marks, she has been posted at Kasganj.
Counsel for the petitioner has brought on record the list of the candidates posted at Aligarh.
Counsel for the petitioner has pointed out that a number of women candidates, who had secured less than 70 quality point marks, have been given posting at Aligarh. Prima facie the order impugned appears to be incorrect.
