The Allahabad High Court has directed the petitioner to file bail application in the lower court in the corruption case of Gautam Buddh Nagar.
A Single Bench of Justice Rajiv Gupta passed this order while hearing an application under Section 482 CrPC filed by Gurpreet Singh.
The application under Section 482 CrPC has been filed by the applicant with the prayer to quash the charge-sheet and entire proceedings of Case arising out of Case Crime registered under Sections 120-B r/w 420 IPC and Sections 13(2) r/w 13(1)(D) of Prevention of Corruption Act, Police Station CBI/EOU-V/EO-II, New Delhi, pending in the court of Special Judge (Prevention of Corruption Act), Ghaziabad.
At the very outset, counsel for the applicant has made a statement at the bar that he does not want to press other prayers made in the application and has confined his prayer only to the relief that in case, applicant moves an application for bail before the court below, his bail application be considered and disposed of at the earliest, the court noted.

Per contra, counsel for the CBI has opposed expeditious disposal of bail application of the applicant.
In view of the above statement, the Court directed that if the applicant moves an application for bail before the court below, his prayer for bail be considered and decided as expeditiously as possible in accordance with law.
With the aforesaid observations, the Court disposed of the application under Section 482 CrPC.
