New Delhi: The Allahabad High Court has launched a website especially keeping in mind the middle class. The website named ‘Allahabad High Court Middle Income Group Legal Aid Society’.
This will allow the middle income category to get cheap and accessible justice easily.
The high court has launched the society under the scheme of the Supreme Court. So far the legal services authority had provided free advice and help to give cheap and accessible justice to the people of lower income group.
Through this special scheme, special arrangements are being made for the middle class, within the annual income group Rs 6,00,000 and Rs 12,00,000.
The Middle Income Group Society will make arrangements for people coming in the middle income group to get legal advice. The litigant has to fight their case if needed or on a very nominal fee.
The work of this Middle Income Group Legal Aid Society will be to provide legal aid to the needy, their counseling, legal treatment and represent them in court if required. Apart from this, there will also be benefits in cases of arbitration and settlement centres and arbitration.
The specialty of this service is that legal assistance will be made available to the needy at home through e-mail, video call, or social media platform. They will not have to walk to the high court to get help and avoid unnecessary travel. Its benefits will also be available to the elderly, disabled and other people who are not able to travel.
There is no cost to take advantage of this facility or consult legal advice. The facility will be provided free of charge. Only a fixed nominal fee will have to be paid to represent the case in court.
The website has been made in both Hindi and English languages so that more and more people can take advantage of it.
