The Andhra Pradesh High Court closed a Suo Motu Public Interest Litigation (PIL) filed raising the issue with regard to shifting of the institution of Lokayukta of Andhra Pradesh from Hyderabad to Vijayawada.
Advocate General , for the State of Andhra Pradesh submits that the office of Lokayukta has since shifted from Hyderabad and is currently functioning at Kurnool in the State of Andhra Pradesh.
In that view of the matter, the grievance of the petitioner, which was communicated vide letter, dated 12.06.2021, principally, in regard to the shifting of the office of Lokayukta from Telangana to the State of Andhra Pradesh, has been addressed.
