A Delhi court on Thursday adjourned the hearing on a case registered by CBI against Sajjan Kumar on the recommendations of Justice G T Nanavati Commission which was constituted to investigate anti-Sikh riots.
The court postponed the hearing as Kumar’s counsel didn’t appear before Patiala House Court for cross examination of witnesses in the 1984 anti-Sikh riots case.
The matter was posted for next hearing to Jan 22, 2019.
It may be recalled that this is the second case in which Kumar is facing trial related to his role in anti-Sikh riots. Previously, he was sentenced for life imprisonment by the Delhi High Court for his involvement in anti-Sikh riots.
