The Allahabad High Court has directed the District Magistrate of Auraiya to dispose of the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana application pending from August 11, 2021, within three months.
The Division Bench of Justice Saumitra Dayal Singh and Justice Shekhar Kumar Yadav passed this order, while hearing a petition filed by Ramesh Chandra.
The Court observed that the solitary grievance of the petitioner was that his claim under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana has remained pending before the District Magistrate Auraiya since August 11, 2021.
Having heard the Counsel for parties and having perused the record, the Court disposed of the petition with a direction to the District Magistrate Auraiya to consider and decide the claim of the petitioner dated August 11, 2021 under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana as expeditiously as possible and preferably within a period of three months from the date of presentation of a duly authenticated copy of the order.

The petitioner stated that his crop has been insured. Since no action was taken by the insurance company for compensation, a complaint was made to the District Magistrate. However, the same has remained pending since August, 2021.
