The appeal made in the Allahabad High Court, against the Special CBI Court judgment acquitting the former Deputy Prime Minister LK Advani, former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Kalyan Singh, BJP leaders Murli Manohar Joshi, Uma Bharti, and several others in the Babri Masjid demolition case has been dismissed today.
A Bench comprising of Justice Ramesh Sinha and Justice Saroj Yadav have dismissed the appeal filed against the Special CBI Court by 2 Muslim residents of Ayodhya.
The judgement was reserved by the Court after the arguments were concluded on October 31.
The 2020 judgment of the Special CBI court which held that there was nothing on record to establish the existence of a conspiracy to demolish the Babri Masjid was challenged by two residents of Ayodhya named Haji Mahboob Ahmad and Syed Akhlaq Ahmad,
The appellants said that the have been victim and witness of the blood bath and have seen demolition of historic place of worship, the Babri Masjid.
The appellants also suffered major financial loss on account of destruction of their houses to arson, vandalism and loot etc.
