The Special POCSO Court of Bareilly district in Uttar Pradesh has sentenced a tuition teacher to life imprisonment for raping two minor sisters.
Special Judge Ramdayal on Monday also imposed a fine of Rs 1.16 lakh on the convict. Out of the fine amount, Rs one lakh will be given for the rehabilitation of the victims.
According to the complainant and mother of the victims, Imran Alam of Pipalsana Chaudhary Bhojipura area used to run a coaching center in Rajendra Nagar. Two girls of classes nine and six used to go to attend his tuitions.
Finding the elder sister alone one day, the accused gave her water mixed with intoxicants and raped her. On regaining consciousness, the victim found herself naked. He threatened that if she complained at home, he would defame her by putting the clip on the internet.
When the scared student did not tell this thing at home, the accused got encouraged. He then repeated the same act several times with the victim’s 12-year-old sister. During the incident, the girl’s mother was in jail in a case. After getting out of jail, she complained to the SSP.
After eight months, a case was registered against the accused teacher in the women’s police station. During the trial, Public Prosecutor Ritram Rajput and private lawyer Awadhesh Saxena presented nine witnesses in the court.
