Business tycoon Ness Wadia sentenced to 2-year suspended jail term for possessing drugs

Ness Wadia, one of the wealthiest Indian businessman has been sentenced to two-year suspended imprisonment for possessing drugs by a Japanese court.

Wadia was arrested at New Chitose Airport in the northern Japanese island of Hokkaido in early March for possessing 25g of cannabis resin, the Financial Times reported.

Wadia, the eldest son of Nusli Wadia and is heir to the 283-year-old group. He is also the co-owner of Kings XI Punjab cricket team.

Previously also, Wadia has faced trial in case of molestation by her former girlfriend Preity Zinta.
