Centre approves appointment of three judicial officers as Rajasthan High Court judges

The Union of India has approved the appointment of three judicial officers as judges of the Rajasthan High Court.

The information was shared by the Ministry of Law and Justice on its website by way of a notification.

As per the Ministry, judicial officers Chandra Shekhar Sharma, Pramil Kumar Mathur and Chandra Prakash Shrimali have been appointed as judges of the Rajasthan High Court.

On December 22, 2024, the Supreme Court Collegium had recommended the appointment of these judicial officers for elevation as judges of the Rajasthan High Court.

The High Court of Rajasthan, having a sanctioned strength of 50 judges, is currently functioning with 32 judges.

After the swearing-in of new judges, the High Court will have a strength of 35 judges with 15 vacancies.
