COVID-19: Jharkhand HC CJ and Justices will contribute to PM Relief Fund

In the wake of the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic, it has been decided that the Chief Justice and the judges of the High Court of Jharkhand shall contribute a certain amount of relief.

In the view of above it is further stated by the court that in past few days, there has been an upsurge in the number of COVID-19 cases in India, showing some humankind a small contribution has been decided on the behalf of Chief Justice and judges.

The High Court Jharkhand looking at the challenges for millions of people worldwide and India being no Exception, have decided to contribute generously Rs 25000 by way donation to the Prime Ministers ‘citizens’ assistance relief in this emergency situation.

The court also said that the entire world is facing serious challenges and in order to effectively tackle the threat and the dangers stemming from the highly contagious virus, it is imperative that concerted efforts towards the same  must be made.

Accordingly, it is also stated that the contribution is exempted under section 80G of the Income Tax.
