Delhi High Court on Friday allowed 3 Saudi National to stay in Hyatt Hotel R.K. Puram, booked in the same First Information Report filed in respect of the members of the Tablighi Jamat.
A division bench presided by Justice Vipin Sanghi and Justice Rajnish Bhatnagar of Delhi High Court while conducting hearing through video conferencing noted that the applicants are permitted to stay at Hyatt Hotel, R.K. Puram, New Delhi.
Counsel appearing for the petitioners submitted that presently the petitioners are held in quarantine at Chandra Shekher Azad Government Boys Senior Secondary School, CV Raman Marg, Jamia Nagar, Friends Colony, New Delhi. However, the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia has issued a certificate, according to which, the said Embassy has stated that they would make arrangements for the three applicants to stay at Hyatt Hotel, R.K. Puram, New Delhi since the applicants do not intend to stay at quarantine centers of the Government facility or the facility arranged by the community.
Mr. Rahul Mehra appearing for the Delhi Government submitted that they do not have any objection to the applicants staying at Hyatt Hotel, R.K. Puram, New Delhi.
Furthermore, Mr. Amit Mahajan appearing for the central government also submitted that the Union of India would have no objection, in case, the applicants are permitted to stay at Hyatt Hotel, R.K. Puram, New Delhi provided all the expenses are borne by the applicants, or by the Saudi Embassy.
