The Delhi High Court on Tuesday (August 7) sought replies from Central government and L-G of Delhi, Anil Baijal as why the Police Complaints Authority (PCA) was formed without any consultation from the representatives of the AAP government in Delhi.

The bench comprising Justices Ravindra Bhatt and AK Chawla was acting on the plea filed by AAP MLA Sanjeev Jha contending that PCA was formed without consulting representatives of the AAP government.

The PCA was formed to look into allegations of serious misconduct against erring policemen in the capital in pursuance of the directions given by the apex court in 2006. The L-G had issued notification for the creation of PCA on January 29 this year.

The matter will again be heard on October 12.
