The Delhi High Court today in view of the alarming rise in the COVID-19 case in Delhi, through its office order directed for the resumption of the system of Court hearings through Virtual Mode only till April 24 and 23 for District and High Court respectively.
The decision has been taken by the Full Court directing the High Court and all the District Courts of Delhi to operate through virtual mode only till April 24.
The High Court has further directed the DG (Prisons) to make necessary arrangements for extension of remand of Under-Trial Prisoners, further producing them through video-conferencing whenever required.

The order specifically mentioned that no adverse order shall be passed by the District Courts in Delhi in case of non-appearance of parties or their counsels, whereas, the matters fixed for recording of evidence shall be adjourned.
