The Delhi High Court on Friday (Sep 7) asked the Delhi government to file its response on a PIL seeking immediate action on filling of the teachers posts in government schools of Delhi in a time bound manner.
The petitioner informed the bench headed by Chief Justice Rajendra Menon that the quality of education in Delhi government has worsened due to teachers’ vacancies.
The matter was posted for next hearing to November 2.
In the PIL, the petitioner has further sought broad guidelines for transportation mechanism of the government school students on the line and pattern of private schools of Delhi.
The PIL further seeks to explore the possibilities of nursery and kindergarten education in government schools on the line and pattern of private schools.
