The Delhi High Court has disposed of the petition filed by hostel inmates of All India Women Conference at 6, Bhagwan Das Road, seeking a waiver of licence fee and mess charge amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
A single-judge bench of Justice Sanjeev Sachdeva noted the submissions made by the counsel for the petitioner that all disputes between the parties have been fully and finally resolved.
“Parties were referred to the mediation. Parties have settled their disputes through the process of mediation and entered into the Settlement Agreement, though undated, but signed by the mediator on 23.10.2020 after being confirmed by the parties by their respective emails dated 22.10.2020. The Settlement Agreement is taken on record,”
-noted the Court in its Order.
The petition is accordingly disposed of in terms of the settlement agreement, said the Court.
The petition was filed by Pooja Sharma and Others who are hostel inmates at the All India Women Conference at 6, Bhagwan Das Road, New Delhi 110001. They had sought recall/suspension/waiver of the license fee sought to be charged by the respondents. It was contended by the petitioners that the full license fee and mess charge could not be charged by the respondent no. 3 in view of the fact that petitioners had to leave the accommodation in view of the lockdown and pandemic.

It was submitted by respondent no 3 that in terms of the settlement all agreed amounts have been paid by the petitioners and accordingly now there are no claims against the petitioners.
