The Delhi High Court has directed the Land Acquisition Collector, Sub-divisional Magistrate, Saket, SHO of concerned areas, DDA and SDMC to conduct a meeting coordinating an action plan for the removal of unauthorized constructions at the Revenue Estate of Village Satbari, near Johod, popularly known as Kharak Rewada, New Delhi.
A single-judge bench of Justice Prathiba M. Singh noted,
“Considering the fact that the order directing inspection of the said land, and removal of the unauthorized constructions from the same, is almost two years old… However, there has been no coordination between the various agencies concerned.”
The petition has been filed by Capital Land Builders Pvt. Ltd alleging that earlier the Court had directed South Delhi Municipal Corporation (hereinafter ‘SDMC’) to inspect the land in question, located at the Revenue Estate of Village Satbari, near Johod, popularly known as Kharak Rewada, New Delhi, and to take immediate action, in accordance with law, for removal of the unauthorized constructions.

The bench noted,
“If in the said meeting, the authorities arrive at a consensus on the course of action to be taken, the action be taken in accordance with law and a status report in respect thereof, be filed by the SDM, Saket, before this Court.”
The bench has listed the matter for further hearing on April 29.
