Allahabad HC wants to know why LT grade teachers are teaching in primary and secondary schools

The Lucknow Bench of the Allahabad High Court ordered the State Government to submit an Affidavit listing the educational institutions not adopting fire safety and other disaster management measures in the buildings.

A Bench of Justice Pankaj Kumar Jaiswal and Justice Alok Mathur passed the order on a Petition filed by Anil Kumar Yadav, asking the affidavit to be submitted in two weeks.

The Petitioner has demanded that the State Government be directed to fully implement disaster management measures in educational buildings, especially fire safety measures. The Petition has mentioned two schools in Lucknow where the concerned authorities are “playing with the lives of children” by not applying equipment for fire safety.

Earlier, the Court had sought a detailed Affidavit from the government on this Petition. At the same time, the court had also ordered to submit a separate list of institutions who have adopted and not adopted these measures along with the affidavit. In spite of the court order there is no filing of the same. The government pleader requested to give more time and while accepting it, the court ordered the filing of the said affidavit in two weeks.
