The Division Bench of Justice N. Kotiswar Singh and Justice Malasri Nandi ordered while disposing of the plea:
“Having heard the counsel for the parties and on perusal of the petition, the court was of the view that the State Government should look into the matter for which the authorities will consider the representations filed by the petitioner on Septemeber 7, 2021 and the earlier representation filed on February 26, 2021.”

“In this regard, the petitioner will also submit a fresh representation before the authorities, more particularly, to the Chief Secretary, Government of Assam along with the copy of the documents in support of the representation, who will examine the matter and pass appropriate order as expeditiously as possible, preferably, within a period of six weeks.”
The PIL has been filed by Amguri Naba Nirman Samity through its President Diganta Saikia.
When the matter was taken up on December 22, it has been submitted by Bordoloi, counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner will be satisfied for the time being if a direction is issued to the respondent authorities to consider the representation submitted to the Chief Secretary, Government of Assam on Septemeber 7.
It has been submitted that the petitioner had learned from various official sources that a huge amount has been misappropriated in the aforesaid institutions and accordingly, the present PIL has been filed after having failed to elicit any response from the authorities to make an inquiry into the aforesaid instances of corruption.
