Former minister Dyandhi Maran will have to face trial in the Illegal Telephone Exchange case, the Supreme Court ordered on Monday (July 30). The court refused to grant him relief.
The Madras high Court, where the case was originally in, had refused to interfere in the verdict of the trial court, at which Maran had approached the top court for relief.
The Supreme Court today said that such cases should be decided by the trial court.
