The Allahabad High Court has sought a report from District Magistrate Kushinagar on whether Tehsildar Tamkuhiraj is doing judicial work or is only busy in administrative work.
A Single Bench of Justice Rohit Ranjan Agarwal heard the petition filed by Ramdev.
The counsel for the applicant states that the order-sheet of the case is not available despite the fact that applicant had applied for the order-sheet but the same has not been issued by the office of the opposite party.
He further contends that the officer in-charge is busy in administrative work and is not holding court.
On the earlier occasion, the Court had directed the Bar Council to initiate inquiry against the members of the Bar of Tehsil Tamkuhiraj, District Kushinagar as in many of the matters, it has come to light that the practicing lawyers are on strike on date fixed in those cases and the matter could not be proceeded, the Court noted.
The Court directed the District Magistrate, Kushinagar to submit a report in this regard as to whether Tehsildar Tamkuhiraj is holding court and doing the judicial work or not or is only busy in administrative work. He shall also submit a report in regard to the strike of the lawyers at Tehsil Tamkuhiraj within one month.
The Court has fixed the next hearing of the petition on August 5, 2022.
