The Rajasthan High Court has dismissed a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) alleging liquor shops were being allotted locations in violation of excise rules.
The PIL has been filed by Sunil Kumar Singh.
The Jaipur Division Bench of Acting Chief Justice Manindra Mohan Shrivastava and Justice Vinod Kumar Bharwani found that the petitioner without bringing it to the notice of any of the Competent Authority dealing with the matter has filed PIL.
“The petition is, therefore, misconceived.”
It is open for the petitioner to make representation, raising a complaint before the Competent Authority regarding alleged location of the liquor shop. With the said liberty, the petition is dismissed by the Court.
