The Special Court in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh has sentenced life imprisonment to a father convicted of raping a 10-year-old minor daughter and imposed a fine of Rs 80 thousand .
The victim’s mother lodged a report at Farah police station in May 2023. According to the report , her husband took his 10-year-old minor step-daughter on a motorcycle to the bushes near Hindustan College, Govardhan Nala. The incident of rape with the daughter was carried out. The daughter came home and narrated the incident. After this the police was informed. Police arrested the accused and sent him to jail.
The court of Special Judge (POCSO Court ) Ramkishore- II considered all the evidence during the hearing on Tuesday. The accused was convicted and sentenced.
Special DGC Alka Upamanyu said that the accused has been sentenced to life imprisonment (for the remainder of natural life) and a fine of Rs 80,000. The period spent by the convict in jail shall be adjusted towards this sentence.
Earlier , the accused elder daughter has also accused the guilty father of rape. A case was also registered in this, but later the wife and elder daughter changed their statements. Due to which the accused was saved from prosecution.
