A court in Muzaffarpur district of Bihar has received a plea seeking first information report against actors Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone for hurting the religious sentiments of the Hindu people in their upcoming movie Pathan.
The complaint was filed by a lawyer named Sudhir Ojha has said that the song ‘Besharam Rang’ of the film ‘Pathaan’ is objectionable as it hurts the sentiments of the Hindu community.
As per the media report the court will hear the case on January 3.
It was soon after the song was released on Monday that the social Media campaign calling the boycott of the film Pathaan began.
The Home minister of Madhya Pradesh Narottam Mishra said that if the film maker does not change the costume used, then the government will have to decide whether it should be released in the state or not.
The attire of the actress Deepika Padukone are said to be prima facie highly objectionable.
The Home minister also said that the filming of the song clearly reflects a contaminated mentality which would not be an accepted and this should be removed without further delay.
Adding to his point, the leader mentioned that Padukone has been a supporter of tukde tukde gang at Delhi’s Jawaharlal Nehru University and had visited the university,on January 7, 2020.
Deepika had visited the JNU campus after a masked mob attacked several students on campus.
The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad, the student wing of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, was accused of carrying out the attack.
