PIL Filed In SC Seeking Directions To Government To Consider Alcohol Vapour Therapy For COVID-19 Treatment

A petition has been filed before the Supreme Court seeking direction to the Government to consider the issue of approval of Ethanol Vapour or any other kind of suitable Alcohol Vapour Therapy for COVID -19 with due pre-clinical research and clinical trials.

The petition has also prayed the Government to consider the issue of approval of Ethanol Vapour or any kind of suitable Alcohol Vapour therapy for COVID- 19 as a safe self medication for individuals who have the very early symptoms of corona virus attack as a very preventive treatment prior to the confirmation test to curtail and kill its effects.

The Petitioner is an independent inventor, writer and activist having invented Integrated Renewable energy project on seashore for unlimited cheapest energy from sea waves, wind and solar all in one plant, Reformation of Alphabets of Tamil language, effective garbage and environmental maintenance system, Reformation of United Nations Organizations and many innovative projects for Railways and Innovative river linking projects via sea shore. He wishes to present his innovation for the treatment of corona virus.

According to the Petitioner usage of Ethanol vapour is not a new one in the western medicine system and Inhalation of vapour obtained by nebulization of water and ethanol in oxygen has been used in treatment of pulmonary edema in humans. The Indian Council for Medical Research and the World Health Organization should therefore consider the usage of EtOH vapour for the treatment of Covid – 19 affected patients to minimize the loss of valuable lives of enormous people throughout the world at the earliest and all the supportive medications of allopathy and all other natural medications may be used as notified by the experts experts, during this process guidance.

The petitioner also states that Covid-19 virus is going to survive in the world for a long time as other microorganism, and till the time a considerable size of the population gets the herd immunity it is necessary to minimize the mortality rate at the possible very low. The petitioner is confident that Ethanol vapour therapy as a self medication and in the hospitalization would be very useful one to the recovery and avoid spread. Ethanol vapour could be very effective in the earlier stages of covid-19 effects with symptoms and tested positive cases.

The petitioner Chandrasekaran Ramasamy has also stated that he had sent detailed representation to respondents through E-mail seeking intervention about this issue on April 8th and April 14th 2020, but till date the no action has been taken and no reply has been given regarding the petitioner’s representation.
