The Rajasthan High Court disposed of a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) questioning the decision of the Gram Panchayat of village Gurjar Kheda, Tehsil Nagaur to issue tenders for certain public works pursuant to the tender notice dated 07.02.2022.
The PIL has been filed by the residents of the village.
According to the petitioners, some irregularities have taken place. Some of the works published are not necessary.
Previously, tenders were issued which process had been aborted on private complaints being received, the Petitioner informed the Court.
At this stage, the Division Bench of Chief Justice Akil Kureshi and Justice Rekha Borana opined that it is open for the petitioners to approach the Block Development Officer pointing out all these aspects of the matter and if the issues are not resolved to the satisfaction of the petitioners, it would be open for them to take further recourse available in law.
The petition is disposed of accordingly.
