The Allahabad High Court has ordered the deduction of two days’ salary of the District Inspector of Schools (DIOS) and Finance & Accounts Officer in the office of DIOS, Kaushambi for the month of September.
A single-judge bench of Justice Rohit Ranjan Aggarwal passed this order while hearing a petition filed by Sona Devi.
The Court noted that pursuant to the order of the Court dated 04.09.2024, both District Inspector of Schools, Kaushambi as well as Finance and Accounts Officer in the office of DIOS, Kaushambi are present before the Court.
It is contended that the yearly increment for 2024 has been given and the necessary orders have been passed by the officer concerned for the month of July & August, 2024 with difference in salary. The necessary payment shall be credited into the account of the petitioner.
The District Inspector of Schools, Kaushambi, who is present in the Court, states that the amount shall be transferred by today itself.
When the Court interacted with the officer concerned and asked him as to why the increment was not given which was legally justified, he could not answer the same and stated that the increment has now been given to the petitioner.
The Court found that the action of both the DIOS, Kaushambi and Finance & Accounts Officer in the office of DIOS, Kaushambi is deliberate in withholding the annual increment.
Thus, they shall not be paid salary for two days for the month of September, 2024. The said order shall be sent to the Director of Education (Secondary), Government of UP for the necessary follow-up.
“The petitioner shall apply for the PRAN, within 15 days,” the Court ordered.
