Bollywood superstar Salman Khan was on Thursday warned by a district and sessions court that if it fails to appear at the next hearing before it, it will cancel his bail.

The court will hear the matter again on September 27.

At Thursday’s hearing, Khan’s counsel H M Saraswat moved an exemption application stating that actor can’t appear because of his shooting schedule.

After the court’s warning, Saraswat said that Khan will be appearing on the next date of hearing, agencies reported.

On April 5, 2018, Khan was convicted for killing two blackbucks and sentenced to five years in prison.

However, the trial court had acquitted other accused Tabu, Neelam, Saif Ali Khan, Sonali Bendre and a local resident Dushyant Singh, giving them the benefit of doubt.

The incident happened when the actors Salman Khan, Tabu, Neelam, Saif Ali Khan, Sonali Bendre were shooting for a Hindi flick Hum Saath Saath Hain in October 1998 in Rajasthan. During the shooting, all went out on a night safari and killed two blackbucks.
