Delhi Minister Satyendar Jain has asked the Delhi Court today for ensuring him a a fair trial. The AAP leader has also accuse the Enforcement Directorate (ED) of leaking his footage to media.
In a contempt plea filed by Jain against the ED, the AAP counsel argued before the Special Judge Vikas Dhull of Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Courts
The counsel of Jain said that a fair trial should be given him as was given to Ajmal Kasab sating to be better than him.
The counsel for Jain even before they received the ED’s response in the plea, it had been furnished to the media.
The Jain counsel said that a hysteria was created across national channels that the minister was having a luxurious trial .
The Senior Counsel reminded that even Apex Court had time and again said that there must not be a media trial.
The Counsel also raised fingers and alleged that such leaks were done by Tihar Jail authorities, and this must be probed.
It has been requested that a judge appointed to prove who leaked it to the media.
The Enforcement Directorate counsel Advocate Zoheb Hossain, said that there had been no leak on the agency’s part and that they will ensure that whoever was guilty would be brought to justice.
The ED counsel added that only two people had pen drive and if we presume the leak on the ED’s behalf is preposterous.
The Court listed the case for further hearing on November 28.
