The secretary of Supreme Court Advocates on Record Association (SCAORA), Mr. Joseph Aristotle S. has written to the registrar of Supreme Court seeking involvement of the said association in the case listed today for framing guidelines on “Functioning of Court through video conferencing during COVID-19 pandemic.”
The letter says that the subject matter is of utmost importance so far as Advocates on Record are concerned as they are the real stakeholders in functioning of the Supreme Court as they are responsible for filing, registration till ultimate disposal of case. The SCAORA has thus requested that before taking any final decision, suggestions from all the stakeholders may be sought for consideration. The association has also sought link from the registry to appear in the matter which is due for hearing today.
