Delhi court remands four accused to 15 days of further police custody in Parliament security breach

In the recent case of security breach in Parliament,a Delhi court has remanded all accused to 15 days of further police custody in under UAPA.

The accused of Security breach in Parliament name Sagar Sharma, Manoranjan D, Neelam Verma and Amol Shinde have been remanded for next 15 days.

The Additional Sessions Judge Hardeep Kaur of Patiala House Courts gave the orders passed after these accused were produced in court after expiry of their seven days of police custody.

On Wednesday, during the Lok Sabha session, two persons were seen in the chamber from the visitors’ gallery with canisters that emitted smoke.

The name of the two accused is Sagar Sharma and Manoranjan and both were arrested by Delhi Police.

Two more persons, Amol Shinde and Neelam, were arrested from outside the parliament where they were reportedly protesting with yellow smoke.

All four persons were arrested by the police earlier this week, while the alleged ‘mastermind’, Lalit Jha, remained absconding.

Jha was arrested by the police on thursday.

Jha disclosed about his involvement in the protest and how he is mastermind of the entire conspiracy and what was their motive.

What needs to be investigated is how the conspiracy was hatched and how they got funding. This will require detailed investigation and the poilce needs the mobile phones of the accused for details.

The Judge thus gave them to seven days remand.

Accordingly, Jha had to remain in police custody for seven days.
