The Supreme Court Collegium has today recommended the tenure of Justice Abhay Ahuja as additional judge of the Bombay High Court should be extended by another year starting from March 4, 2023.
The statement by the Collegium was published on the Supreme Court’s website.
The statement said that the Supreme Court Collegium on 09 December 2022 has resolved to recommend that Shri Justice Abhay Ahuja be appointed as Additional Judge of the Bombay High Court for a fresh term of one year w.e.f. 04 March 2023.
Justice Ahuja was appointed additional judge of the Bombay High Court in February 2020 for two years. In January 2022, his term was extended by the Central government till March 2023, following a recommendation by the Collegium in November 2021.
