The Uttarakhand High Court directed the Director General, Medical Health to conduct an inquiry against erring officials and submit a report with a plan and action taken the officials in relation to the functioning of the Government Hospital in Nainital.
The Division Bench of Justice Sharad Kumar Sharma and Justice Ravindra Maithani had taken suo motu cognizance with regard to the pathetic condition of functioning of the Government Hospital, Nainital.
The High Court noted that medical services have not been provided without taking illegal gratification and that itself is explicit upon the reply submitted by the Principal Medical Superintendent of the government hospital.
“We direct the Director General, Medical Health to conduct an inquiry against the erring officials and submit her report before this Court within a period of three weeks from today, containing the plan and action taken by her against the erring officials,” the Court directed.
The matter has been listed for further hearing on 23.03.2023.
