Robert Vadra, son-in-law of interim Congress President Sonia Gandhi approached Rouse avenue court on Monday seeking authorization to travel abroad for a business tour.
Vadra filed the plea before Special CBI Judge Arvind Kumar seeking a go-ahead to take a trip to Spain.
Vadra who is out on bail in a money laundering case had also earlier sought permission to travel to the US, London and the Netherlands for medical reasons. The court had allowed him to travel to the Netherlands and the US but denied travel to London while acting on the Enforcement Directorate’s (ED) submissions apprehending that Vadra might temper with the evidence.
Vadra had earlier been granted anticipatory bail on April 1 on the rider that he would not leave India without permission and join the investigation at whatever time required.
The case relates to money laundering charges against Vadra.
