Alwar lynching incident: SC to hear plea seeking action against Rajasthan, Haryana and UP

The recent Alwar lynching incident has reached the doorsteps of the apex court as on Monday (July 23) a plea was filed seeking contempt action against Rajasthan, Haryana and UP for unable to prevent the incident

The court will hear the plea on August 20.

The Alwar incident which was happened on July 21 resulted into the death of 28-year-old man who was beaten to death by suspected cow vigilantes. Two persons were arrested in connection with the murder.

The man was transporting animals to his village along with another man when he was stopped by a group of villagers who brutally thrashed him.
