Samajwadi Party leader Anurag Bhadauria moves Apex Court for protection in case for making objectionable remarks on CM Uttar Pradesh

The Samajwadi Party leader Anurag Bhadauria  has moved to the Supreme Court today for seeking protection in the case filed against him for allegedly making objectionable remarks against Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath of Uttar Pradesh.

The plea was mentioned before the Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud and JusticePS Narasimha and Justice Dipankar Datta, who have decided to list the matter post vacation.

Relief was refused to Bhadauria by the Allahabad High Court last month in the first information report (FIR) lodged against him on the complaint by Hero Bajpai, who is the spokesperson of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

During a TV news debate, it was contended that Bhadauria had insulted the CM Adityanath by making objectionable remarks against him and his mentor, the late Mahant Avaidyanath, who was the head of the Goraknath Math.

As per the BJP spokes person, the remarks by Bhadauria have hurt the sentiments of Hindus and those who have faith in the Math.

The Samajwadi party leader Bhadauria, however said that the matter is that of the political vendetta against him.

lately, the Lucknow Police have sent  attachment notices to two properties purportedly owned by Bhadauria in relation to the FIR.
