The apex court on Tuesday asked the Maharashtra government to comply with the Bombay HC order to reconsider and revisit the appointments to the Managing Committee of the Shri Sai Baba Sansthan Trust (Shirdi).
During today’s hearing, the bench comprising CJI Ranjan Gogoi and Justices Sanjay Kishan Kaul, K M Joseph asked the Maharashtra government why it can’t reconsider and revisit the appointments.
To which the Maharashtra government replied that Bombay HC’s directions were stopping them from reconsidering and revisiting the appointments and High Court has gone against the Maharashtra government.
The apex court was hearing the plea filed by the Maharashtra government challenging the Bombay HC order which had asked it to “reconsider and revisit” the appointments of members to the managing committee of Shirdi’s Shri Sai Baba Sansthan Trust.
