Disproportionate Assets case

The Supreme Court on Tuesday was informed by CBI through affidavit that it didn’t get any evidence to register a case against former UP Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav and his son Akhilesh Yadav in the disproportionate assets case thereby giving clean chit to duo.

The court had on April 12 granted four weeks time to CBI to file an affidavit.

Earlier, Solicitor General had told the court that CBI had closed the preliminary inquiry (which was instituted to probe into disproportionate assets of duo) in 2013 on the ground that it didn’t find any credible evidence.
