The Centre has sought more time from the Supreme Court to file detailed reply to the clutch of review petitions filed against the apex court’s Dec 14 Rafale judgment.

While Attorney General (AG) K K Venugopal sought four weeks time to file the reply, the court has asked Venugopal to file reply by May 4, Saturday and listed the matter for hearing on May 6, Monday.

In its verdict in December last year, the top court dismissed all petitions seeking a probe into the pricing of multi-million dollar Rafale fighter jets deal. A bench, headed by Gogoi, said there was “nothing questionable” in the decision-making process for the Rafale deal. “We are satisfied that there is no occasion to doubt the process,” the bench had said.
