Chief Justice of India D.Y. Chandrachud on Wednesday launched an updated version of Supreme Court mobile app for Android users.
The CJI made the announcement before mentionings began in his courtroom this morning.
He said, “The Supreme Court mobile app 2.0 is now ready for Android users. It will be available in an hour. Please start using it.
“For iOS, it will be available in another week. This time, we have given an additional feature, all law officers can have their own access. All government departments can check the pendency of their cases. Please use it!,” added Justice Chandrachud.
The new feature will allow lawyers, as well as government department to track the development in their cases.
The Apex Court had launched the first version of SCI Mobile App November 26, 2019, on the occasion of 69th anniversary Constitution Day. Since then, the application has been downloaded by more than 10 lakh users.
The SCI Mobile App is a free-to-download App providing useful information of pending and decided cases. The application provides personalised Dashboard containing Cause Lists,
Case Status, Daily Orders, Judgments, Latest Updates, Office Reports, Circulars and much more.
All the relevant information can be accessed and downloaded through user-friendly interface. In updated version,
the Attorney General for India, the Solicitor General of India, Law officers as
well as Nodal Officers of Central Ministry/Department can view the Case
Status, Orders, Judgments, and other relevant information in cases of their interest.
The SCI Mobile App Version 2.0 will provide real time information on Interlocutory or Miscellaneous applications and documents filed in the case. Further, the copy of applications and
documents e-filed by the other party will also be available in PDF format.
