Hindu Sena chief moves SC to be a party in hate speech petition by Qurban Ali

National President of Hindu Sena Vishnu Gupta on Saturday filed a petition to be a party in the hate speech plea filed by Qurban Ali in the Supreme Court.

The petition further demanded arrest of Muslim leader Ashauddin Owaisi, Congress leader Tokir Raza Khan and other Muslim Jihadi leaders for giving hate speeches.

The applicant referred to Marad Massacre in Kerala and incidence of stone pelting in Srinagar.

Guota alleged that the inflammatory hate speeches were recently made by Owaisi, which were reported in various news portals.

The petitioner alleged that Owaisi said, “I want to tell police personnel, remember this Yogi (Adityanath) will not remain Chief Minister forever. Modi will not be the Prime Prime Minister always. Muslims are silent because of time, but remember, we are not going to forget your atrocities, Allah will destroy you with his strength, God willing. Times will change. Then who will come to save you? When Yogi will go back to his Math, Modi will go back to mountains or to somewhere else, then who will come “

According to the applicant, on January 8, 2022, a news channel had shared a video of Tauqeer Raza Khan , founder of the political party , Ittehad – e – Millat council, where he was addressing a crowd of 20 lakh Muslims in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, where he said, “I see the anger within my Muslim youth and I am afraid that the day this anger bursts out the day I lose control over them, I want to warn my Hindu brothers that I am scared that my Muslim youth are forced to take the law into their hands , you will not find a place to hide any where in India “.

It is submitted that inspite of such Inflammatory speech, no action has been taken against these two leaders by the administration of Uttar Pradesh.

“It shows the provocations are coming all around and If some retaliatory statement is made that is being projected as if Hindus are opposed to other religions. This is a ploy of the forces behind it to project the Hindus as anti other religions. Therefore, the writ petition is liable to be dismissed with exemplary cost,” the application read.

A petition was earlier filed in the Supreme Court by former High Court judge Anjana Prakash and journalist Qurban Ali, highlighting that “hate speeches consisted of open calls for genocide of Muslims in order to achieve ethnic cleansing.
