Jageesha Arora, wife of journalist Prashant Kanojia who was arrested by the UP Police for publishing an objectionable tweet against Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath moved a plea in the Supreme Court on Monday challenging his husband’s arrest.

The top court said that it will hear the matter tomorrow.

In the plea, Arora has challenged the action of the state police and also sought issuance of Habeas Corpus.

Arora has alleged in the plea that his husband was arrested by the UP Police without producing any warrant of arrest and he was picked up by some people in civil dress.

It has also been alleged that the state police didn’t seek transit remand from any court in Delhi and despite that arrested Kanojia from Lucknow.
