Parliament security lapse:PIL in Supreme Court seeking probe monitored by retired Judge

A PIL has been filed in the Supreme Court into the security breach which happened in the Lok Sabha on December 13 by lawye.

The lawyer seeks judicial investigation into the security breach which happened in the Lok Sabha on December 13 under the supervision of a retired Supreme Court judge.

On Wednesday, during the Lok Sabha session, two persons were seen in the chamber from the visitors’ gallery with canisters that emitted smoke.

The name of the two accused is Sagar Sharma and Manoranjan and both were arrested by Delhi Police.

Two more persons, Amol Shinde and Neelam, were arrested from outside the parliament where they were reportedly protesting with yellow smoke.

All four persons were arrested by the police earlier this week, while the alleged ‘mastermind’, Lalit Jha, remained absconding.

Jha was arrested by the police on thursday.

Jha disclosed about his involvement in the protest and how he is mastermind of the entire conspiracy and what was their motive.

What needs to be investigated is how the conspiracy was hatched and how they got funding. This will require detailed investigation and the poilce needs the mobile phones of the accused for details.

The Judge thus gave them to seven days remand.

Accordingly, Jha will now remain in police custody for seven days.

The petitioner seeks an ‘independent, credible and impartial” Judicial investigation under the supervision of a Retired Supreme Court Judge into the incident. The petition has been filed through Advocate-on-Record Shruti Bisht.
