SC allows advocates to file plea seeking social security policies for women advocates

The Supreme Court on Friday permitted advocates to file petition seeking social security initiatives as well as safety for lady advocates in court buildings afar court working hours throughout the country.

The advocate fraternity has been pressing for the social security schemes for the lady advocates contending that women advocates are susceptible in all courts across the country.

The advocates have maintained that a woman advocate have to fight old age, family problems, illness throughout her life without any social security schemes rendered by bar councils or associations.

It is to be noted after assuming charge as Union Law Minister, Ravi Shankar Prasad had said that he would focus on fast-tracking the arrangement of medical insurance for lawyers as well as providing basic facilities for advocates working in remote areas.
