The Supreme Court on Friday asked its retired judge Justice A K Sikri to examine the answer scripts of candidates who appeared for Haryana Judicial Services examination.
The bench comprising CJI Ranjan Gogoi and Justice Deepak Gupta was acting on a plea filed by one Pranav Verma, seeking re-evaluation of the answer sheets of the candidates who appeared for Haryana Judicial Services examination and further directions to reduce the percentage of marks fixed by the Punjab and Haryana High Court administration for shortlisting the candidates for interview.
At today’s hearing, the counsel appearing for petitioner asked the bench to depute a retired judge to examine the answer scripts of candidates who appeared for Haryana Judicial Services examination.
The bench also directed the Punjab and Haryana High Court to submit answersheets to Justice Sikri.
The matter was posted for next hearing after summer vacations.
