The Supreme Court Collegium on April 5 approved the proposals for the appointment of Permanent Judges in the Bombay, Chhattisgarh and Kerala High Court. For the Bombay High Court, the Apex Court approved the Proposal for the appointment of the following, 10 Additional Judges as Permanent.
- Justice Avinash Gunwant Gharote,
- Justice Nitin Bhagawantrao Suryawanshi,
- Justice Anil Satyavijay Kilor,
- Justice Milind Narendra Jadhav,
- Justice M.G. Sewlikar,
- Justice V.G. Bisht,
- Justice Debadwar Bhalchandra Ugrasen,
- Smt. Justice M.S. Jawalkar,
- Justice S.P. Tavade, and
- Justice N.R. Borkar.
Justices Gharote, Suryawanshi, Kilor and Jadhav were appointed as Additional Judges of the Bombay High Court on August 23, 2019, and the remaining were appointed on December 5, 2019.
The Collegium has also recommended appointing Justice Vimla Singh Kapoor, Additional Judge of Chhattisgarh High Court, as Permanent Judge of that High Court.
She was elevated as Additional Judge of the Chhattisgarh High Court on June 18, 2018.

Moreover, the Apex Court Collegium approved the proposal for appointment of five Additional Judges of Kerala High Court as Permanent Judges. They are:
- Justice Conrad S. Dias
- Justice P.V. Kunhikrishnan
- Justice T.R. Ravi
- Justice Bechu Kurian Thomas
- Justice Gopinath P.
Justice Dias was sworn in is an Additional Judge of the Kerala High Court on November 18, 2019. Justice Kunhikrishnan was sworn in is an Additional Judge of the Kerala High Court on February 13, 2020. Whereas, Justices Ravi, Thomas and Gopinath were sworn in as Additional Judges of the Kerala High Court on March 6, 2020.
