The Supreme Court on Monday (Mar 11) dismissed a plea filed by Gautam Kundu seeking disposing off his assets to repay the investors a total amount of Rs 15,000 crore which they invested in Rose Valley chit funds.
The bench comprising Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi and Justices Deepak Gupta, Sanjiv Khanna said this was the worst plea filed under the article 32.
At today’s hearing, Kundu’s counsel told the bench that his client is in custody for 44 months and the case regarding 35 FIRs against rose valley be heard together.
