The apex court on Friday (August 3) rebuked a petitioner, Reepak Kansal and imposed a cost of Rs 25,000 for filing a frivolous PIL.

The bench of Justices Ranjan Gogoi, R Banumathi and Navin Sinha was hearing a PIL urging government to make a law to control caesarian births as private hospitals in order to charge a hefty sum were indulging in more and more caesarian operations.
