The Supreme Court on Friday agreed to hear a plea seeking seeking CBI inquiry into the murder of Darwesh Yadav, who was shot dead inside Agra district court premises.

The court said that it will hear the plea on June 25.

Yadav who became the first woman chairperson of Bar Council of Uttar Pradesh was shot dead in a lawyer’s chamber at the Agra Civil Courts allegedly by her aide Manish Sharma. Sharma fired three bullets into Yadav’s head and chest and then shot himself in the head too.

Sharma later on was admitted to Medanta Hospital but succumbed to the injuries.

The family of Yadav had demanded CBI probe into the murder alleging that Sharma had misappropriated funds which reportedly triggered her murder.
