The Supreme Court on Tuesday directed DP Yadav serving life imprisonment in a murder case to surrender before Dehradun jail on November 16.
The bench comprising CJI Ranjan Gogoi and Justice S M Kaul gave the directions after having been informed that Yadav underwent surgery as required and will take two weeks’ time to recuperate.
Taking note of that, the bench said that Yadav will remain on bail till Nov 15.
The bench was acting on a plea by Yadav seeking interim bail on medical grounds.
Earlier, the court had granted interim bail to Yadav for undergoing surgery on the conditions of depositing the sureties before the trial court.
